About
TAMU Nutrition & Dietetic Association (NDA) at Texas A&M is for anyone interested in learning more about the nutrition field, volunteering in the community or just meeting like minded people who are interested in nutrition!
Meetings are held every other Tuesday or Thursday at 7 pm. Nutritional professionals will attend some meetings to share their experiences and pass along their knowledge. We also have committees to further involve members in the club and we hold social activities to meet and hang out with other NDA members.
We hope that through these experiences we provide, nutrition students will be informed and make great connections within the field!
Volunteering
NDA volunteers with Big Event, Meals on Wheels, and Howdy farm! It is a great opportunity to get involved in your community and take part in unforgettable experiences while working along side fellow NDA members.
Committees
NDA has three different types of committees that any member can be a part of and even lead!
FINANCE
Helps philanthropy by creating a budget and advertisements for selling merchandise to fundraise for Meals on Wheels.
MARKETING
Advertises NDA by creating posters, banners, and flyers to increase awareness of club and events.
PHILANTHROPY
Promotes Meals on Wheels by coming up with fundraising events and volunteering opportunities.
Socials
NDA will be hosting fun socials for members to take their mind off school and get to know other NDA members!
Events will happen twice a month and could include game nights, potlucks, or work out classes! Other examples of events include fundraisers, profit shares, involvement in the annual Dietetic Internship Preparation Workshop, National World Food Day, Nutrition and Food Science Expo, and a Health Care Seminar.
